Shoshana Farber, WHNP (show-SHAW-nuh, she/her/hers) is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner who specializes in sexual and reproductive health care for all.
Shoshana provides high-quality contraceptive counseling and menstrual management services, offering a full range of hormonal and non-hormonal birth control options. She also provides wellness visits, gender-affirming care, comprehensive sexually transmitted infection (STI/STD) and other genital infection testing, treatment, and prevention services.
Her practice is grounded in the principles of cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and the BIPOC-led movement for reproductive justice.
Shoshana began serving the community more than 15 years ago as a medical assistant at reproductive health centers in the Portland, OR area. She continued her education, becoming a certified sexuality educator through Planned Parenthood University, and graduating as a nurse practitioner from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. As a Nurse Corps scholarship recipient, Shoshana served at safety-net health centers in California and Central Oregon before returning home to Portland.
She is excited to join the team at A Woman’s Time and complement the services provided by the naturopathic physicians and counselors here.
Shoshana has appointments available and looks forward to working with you.
